By Air: Fly to Islay
British Airways flies twice daily (except Saturday one flight and Sunday none) to and from Glasgow Airport to Islay.
Tel 0870 55 111 55 - Islay Airport is located at Glenegedale on the A846 road, some 4 miles (6½ km) north of Port Ellen and 5 miles (8 km) south of Bowmore.
It was originally constructed as a Royal Airforce base during World War II.

By Sea: to Islay
Ferries 3 times daily in summer (except Wednesday and Sunday when there is one sailing) to and from Kennacraig to Islay. Driving time from Glasgow to Kennacraig is 3 hours. The ferry is operated by Caledonian MacBrayne and takes 2 hours.
